Op-ed: DU Students Are Ignoring the Denver Basin Aquifer

Over this applied writing course we focussed on working on our own green campaigns to bring awareness to specific issues affecting the environment at DU or in Denver. My topic was about the domestic water usage on and around the DU campus and I gave students information on how to reduce water usage and educated them on why this is so important: the drought in Colorado. This was the first piece to a three-fold project of an op-ed, an infographic, and social media posts. All of which can be found in full on my Green Rhetoric class blog.

The op-ed genre helped me work with brevity and research while also maintaining a publishable voice for my community.
